Why Me?

To start off I am have been fortunate enough to serve the Basis Shavano chapter this past year as the Co-President along with Ana Walls, a really great friend of mine, be the Basis Director of Debate, a representative in the house, as well as loyal member for the past tow year. As Chapter President, I have worked to bring my chapter to whole new levels. With Ana, my fellow Co-President, we were able to bring a record high amount of attendees to fall state, raise over 500$ for a local organization, collect hundreds of articles of clothing for United States military veterans, and raise charter membership by 50%.
As a Director of Debate in my freshman year and Chapter President this past year, I worked tirelessly to revamp the way in which we debate and discuss in our chapter. I led tens of thought talks and hosted the first-ever convention like debate this past year. The topics that we have debated on range from corporal punishment in schools to nuclear energy in America. The ideas and work ethic that I have implemented on a chapter level will undoubtedly only be greatly improved on a regional level.

Okay now about my leadership. The best way to describe my method of leadership would be passionate. When I am heavily invested in a club like JSA it’s because of my drive and passion for that institution. Having experienced these problems as a Chapter President and a House Rep I know where the solutions are and I would work with my fellow leaders and officials to get those problems solved. Also, I would say that I am very focused on the comfort of the people around me. I will ensure that they are comfortable and able to work with me and the other people around me in order to efficiently get the task done.

I really hope to make the ACR the bounce-back chapter of the year. The amount of resources and potential we have is way too much to ignore, I can ensure I will work day in and day out to make both the mayoral position and the Alamo Capital Region highly efficient, engaging, and successful. Reach out to me and let me prove it to you.
